Welcome to ESOL!

ESOL is for students who speak another language at
and are now learning English at school.  I am so happy that we get to explore English together this year!

Parents, please let me know if you have any questions

about your child's work
or need any other help at school.
If you have any questions please visit, e-mail

kempfcl@pwcs.edu or call (703) 494-4945.

Here are some ways you can help your child be successful:
  • Check and sign the agenda daily
  • Go to the public library to get books on tape or easy books that you can read.
  • Make sure that your child comes to school every day.
  • Have your child read you his/her little books every night. (He/She is practicing looking at the words, so reading will get easier.)
  • Read to your child in your native language and ask questions about the stories you read.
